Coronavirus Cases In India, Covid-19 Deaths in India on July 10 Live Updates, Delta, Kappa Variant Highlights: In view of the rising trend of Covid-19 cases in the state of Kerala, India for the fourth time in a row added more than 40,000 Covid-19 cases, raising fears about the probable third wave in the country. According to the Union Health Ministry update, a total of 42,776 new cases of Coronavirus were reported in the country in the last 24 hours taking the total caseload of the country to 3.07 crore since the onset of the pandemic. The daily Covid-19 tally registered on Friday is a little less than the number of fresh cases reported on Thursday. On Thursday, the country had reported a total of 43,393 fresh cases. With the addition of Friday’s tally, the total number of active cases in the country has reached 4.55 lakh.

In addition to the fresh cases reported on Friday, a total of 1206 Covid-19 patients succumbed to the disease on the same day, as per the Ministry’s daily bulletin. So far as recoveries are concerned, a total of 45,254 patients recovered from the disease on Friday. The last time the country recorded cases under 40k was on July 6 when the country recorded 34,703 new cases. For the last four days, the daily Covid-19 tally in the country has remained above the 40k mark.

Meanwhile, despite repeated warnings issued by health experts and governments across the country, flouting of Covid-19 appropriate behaviour and guidelines has been reported from a large number of tourist destinations and other public places in the country. Taking cognisance of the visuals of hundreds of tourists flouting Covid-19 norms at Mussoorie’s Kempty falls, the district administration issued new guidelines for tourists and visitors in the district. As per the new guidelines, tourists will need to produce their negative Covid-19 test report not older than 72 hours as well as register at the Dehradun Smart City portal before their arrival.
